Love this Kala Transit bag. Got it at my local uke shop in Richmond when I picked up my custom electric. I decided on this over a hard case as I felt it gave great protection. It feels like it has a rigid plastic band on the outside of the thick padding for the full perimeter of the side. Excellent, excellent protection! I feel very comfortable that my precious custom electric is safe when I travel.
Note the side-by-side difference between this Transit and the Kala Sonoma bag is the single sling-style strap on this transit vs backpack double-straps on the Sonoma.

This will be the ultimate protection for my tenor ukulele as the original bag that came with the ukulele provided no protection.
Your advertisement illustrated a Kala medallion but what arrived was a stitched insignia. Not an issue but wasn’t the expectation.

I recently purchased a Kala Journeyman UBass. It was great that it came with a gig bag, but for someone who will be playing gigs with it often, the bag it came with wasn't enough. I use a Mono gig bag for my electric bass and was hoping to find something as protective as that. The transit bag fit the bill perfectly! Excellent protection. More storage space. Super durable and comfortable to carry. Thank you Kala! The UBass has exceeded my expectations and now, so has the gig bag.
