Bought these for my new solid body Fretless UBass. Perfect for fretless (in my opinion and experience). Perfect fit, too. .. although I did purchase a different nut to accommodate the different diameter (which was planned). I'm new to the fretless and found that, without frets, and WITH these flat wounds I get the closer action that I like. Again, perfect match and worth the expense.

I would like to see Kala inform all buyers of the Solid Body U-Bass that this La Bella set are the ONLY flat wound strings that will fit the instrument. There's another box that looks like this but the strings are far too short to fit.
This set, the proper one, sounds exactly like I expected that they would. In Canada they cost a fortune, which is why I'll only buy them once and leave them on FOREVER. I recommend these fully.
