Kala Elite USA Brown Fluorocarbon Strings

I purchased the clear version month’s ago and really like the low G fluorocarbon (and hoped for less breakage then the wound low G string versions). In the search in getting a warmer sound from my koa wood uke I’ve been curious about swapping out the clear strings for the brown version. Not that I can tell a big difference in sound with my ears, it’s enough to make these my go-to strings for my instruments. They do require a few days of break-in time then they are golden. Curious there is not a low G fluorocarbon in the package (there is a high G) and it’s replaced with a high quality wound string - still sounds great - but will eventually replace with clear Low G from my previous purchase. Wait! How can I replace a string from my previous purchase? Because the strings you get are extra long and essentially getting two set of strings in each package!

Since I’m rambling on I might as well continue and tell you of my customer experience of Worth String. After a few days with my new clear version strings, the A string broke. The A was always pretty tight so I thought that it might have been a packaging error. I found the Worth String site and sent an email of my concerns and the A string breakage. As soon as the time change kicked in in Japan I get a message from the company owner Kobe Masaya. Long story short, he sends me a replacement string as well as a new package of strings too. Worth Strings has my vote and loyality… Thanks Kobe Masaya and Kala for distributing Worth…
