Adinda Meertins

Adinda Meertins is a bassist from Den Haag, The Netherlands whose influences include Latin music, Argentinian Tango, and Classical music. Adinda got a chance to travel to Cuba in 2007 to take lessons from Orlando “Cachaito” Lopez before returning to The Netherlands and graduating from the Rotterdam Conservatory, Codarts, in 2009. In 2013, she received a scholarship to study in New York with Andy Gonzalez, Ruden Rodriguez, and John Benitez. She has toured the world performing in Latin and Tango ensembles, as well as symphony orchestras and string ensembles. Since 2014, she has played bass with Colombian band Monsieur Periné, winner of the 2015 Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Adinda continues to write, record, and perform today.
