The Solid Cedar Series is adding two new variations with 6-string and 8-string tenor models for 2019. Cedar continues to be a popular tonewood due to its rich harmonics and lush tone, making it great for fingerstyle picking. The Acacia back and sides add a midrange focus with clarity and warmth. Padauk rosette and binding and a slotted headstock add a classy touch. The tremendous sound and projection of these ukes make them great for performing.

My first impression of the KA-ATP8-CTG is Wow! This may truly become my favorite instrument!

My first impression of this beautiful 8-String tenor uke is Wow,Wow, WOW! The projection is amazing,The look & feel are wonderful; ......and the sound is beautiful. To be honest, I was worried that it might be difficult to adapt to the feel of the double strings, and it is a little different, but within a few minutes of playing I am starting to adapt and the amazingly colorful sounds are spurring me on.

The sound pallet ranges from very much like a mandolin through ‘ukulele ensemble’ to 12 string guitar! What fun! The workmanship and gloss finish are superb. This is my 3rd Kala instrument, I have a tenor Uke and a U- Bass from Kala, and they are the go-to instruments in my collection. I would definitely recommend this beauty!
