Solid Bamboo Wow

I bought this Uke from Amazon. So I should probably be spanked. Anyway, I love this Ukulele. The Response and sound are crisp and clear. I would recommend low G number 4 string.

Kala Bamboo

I couldn’t find a bamboo to play but I could listen to a couple of reviews. I also called my friend Jason at Lahaina Music and ask his thoughts. So I bought the bamboo. It looks great has a good sound. I prefer a low G so I changed out the strings to the Aquila red series low G, and it sounds great. I now have 4 Kala Uku s and they are all awesome.

Bamboo tenor -- spectacular!

I bought this uke hoping to encourage the use of materials other than rare tropical woods for instrument construction, but not expecting much in the way of tone. Wow, was I surprised at how very nice this all-bamboo tenor sounds! Strung with Aquila Red strings, it has both depth and sweetness, the equal of my solid-mahogany tenor. Build quality is excellent -- just a minor setup was required to make it very playable. Get one!

Interesting appearance, nice tone quality

The complete bamboo ukulele has a very interesting appearance. It's as if it "has no clothes". Ha, Ha. It has a fine bright tone. I like the slotted tuners. The delivery of this instrument was very fast. I am pleased to have this uke in my collection of ukuleles. I kind of wish that when a person orders a tenor ukulele, the supplier would include a low G string so the purchaser could make the choice between the standard G string or a low G string. I change this to the low G but had to take from a whole pack of tenor uke strings I had on hand.

Love a Slot Head

Great Uke. You can’t go wrong with Kala brand. I’ve owned over 15 Kala’s over the years and they are always good straight out of the box. I love the slot head on this. I’m somewhat a slot head fan. This uke is very good.
