What a great instrument. Very easy to keep in tune and play. I purchased three transparent ukes for my grandkids and one for me to teach them. Yes yes yes. Took this guy on vacation and quite literally played it in the salt water. Cleaned easy and still plays nice! I've had it for about a year, and it has kept up well. I play it regularly and it has come on a few trips. I will say the action is higher than normal, and the paint on the frets has definitely started to wear down. I did see a comment somewhere about the neck bowing, but I haven't had that happen. Either way, it's perfect for starters, kids, and anyone who wants to play a uke filled with water.
Ice Baby is my travel uke. Here, you see him getting ready for the Gasparilla pirate invasion in Tampa Bay. Obviously enjoys the night life!
An Absolut, sorry, I mean absolute party uke. This uke knows how to bike ride, paddleboard, kayak, enjoy car races at Sebring and St. Pete, offshore boat races in the Gulf of Me-he-co and sing on a sandbar. Not a big fan of the snow but can be coerced!
Seriously, this baby and his Black Concert sibling know how to play (pun intended) on land, sea and air. They have sat in the car on 100+ days, sat in the pool, Gulf saltwater and sand, in the sun for hours and traveled the US. Fresh water wash and a little WD on the turners and good to go for another round. And if they get pushed too far, a few well-placed drilled holes, clay pebbles or potting soil, an orchid or Pothos, and they can live on forever!
If you want to just play your uke, find another one. If you want to play WITH your uke, get a Waterman!

I didn’t expect much, but this Uke is sturdy, sounds great and my family loves playing it at the beach!! One of the coolest Ukes I have ever seen.
