Just What I Wanted, 100% satisfied

I'm a beginner and have been playing a ukulele about 2 months now. I ordered this uke (with a low G string) last week and it arrived today. It came by Fedex and was very well packaged and in perfect condition. I let it adjust to my home's temperature and humidity for about an hour and then tuned it and started playing. It has a very rich and full sound with a long sustain. My other uke is a tenor (by another company) with a high G string. The low G tuning of this Kala gives a very different sound to the songs I play, which is just what I was hoping for. The body of the Kala is about 10mm deeper than my other uke, which probably explains the impressive sound and sustain. I'm very pleased with the quality of the workmanship of the Kala, its action, and playability. I played it for several hours and didn't want to stop because I was enjoying it so much. This is a great sounding uke at a very reasonable price. I'm also glad I bought it directly from Kala because of the great assistance I got from the rep I talked to on the phone before the purchase and the pre-shipping inspection Kala gave the uke.

P.S. I also bought a case which looks very rugged and should protect the uke quite well when I travel with it. Thanks Kala!

Solid Great Sounding Tenor

Had other laminate mahogany tenors but this is my favorite. Put a set of Aquila Reds on it in low-G. Loads if Volume. Strong sound. Looks nice too.

For the money, it’s a good value.

It’s well set up and plays well. I think that I should have spent more money, but I’ll keep it.

Good sound

Just learning the ukulele. Played guitar many years ago. Love the size, feel, and sound of this “entry level” uke. And the look!

Has been through hell and sounds perfect.

I got this ukulele as a gift about ten years ago, and I have played it while I was homeless, it's been through five moves with me, I've been very hard on it. It is one of my most prized possessions. I have also never had to change the strings??? They tune perfect, they have never snapped, nothing. Just always perfect. Mind you, I haven't played constantly for ten years, but often enough I would've thought a string would snap eventually. Nope! An incredible little uke and worth every penny.
