Good starter uke
I bought the Color Chord Ukulele knowing that I'm a beginner but having played the guitar before but not in decades, the idea wasn't too unfamiliar. I found the inclusion of the electronic tuner invaluable and the short song less so. A few of the songs I was unfamiliar with and had no idea what they sounded like so could not play them. I was able to learn the first four chords easily and the Kala app is actually better for this purpose. As for the ukulele itself, I find it a little small for an adult learner. It's pretty difficult to get my fingers in position for some of the chords and holding the body in place is not easy either, even from a sitting position. It might be easier if I attach a strap to it to keep the neck from falling as I try to strum and reach the more difficult chord positions. I also am not that impressed with the sound quality. I know there is a huge difference between a wood and plastic body as well as differences in volume with larger instruments. But for starting it's not a bad kit. I knew I would probably have to upgrade to a better model soon, just wanted to be sure that I would continue to play. Well the Color Chord at least got me hooked on learning so it served its purpose. I saved the box and packaging so can probably gift this to a friend's kid soon.
