Just as curled and intricate as the Salted Caramel, our Chocolate Exotic Burl Tenor features a figured and pillowy appearance. The wood color is darker and more reminiscent of cocoa beans with variation in the highs and lows of the “chocolate” color. Made of Camphor Burl, this ukulele has a crisp, clear sound with excellent response and loud projection.

Chocolate Exotic Burl Tenor Ukulele

This is a nice ukulele. The warm tones of the burl wood is very inviting and pleasurable to view. It plays a little softer but does project mid tones very well. The sound is nicely balanced. The resonance and sustain is quite good. It has an outstanding value for the price.

My son loves it!

We bought this uke for my son’s 16th birthday and he loves it! Great tone, very playable, and a beautiful instrument!

One of those good ones...

...one of those that jumps into your arms and comes home with you.

I've been trying to get my wife into playing for years. This weekend, we were far beyond my usual run of music shops, many of which sell scads of fine ukuleles. But this burly little uke caught her eye immediately (the first time she's ever wanted an instrument in a shop, as far as I can remember). We played about ten other ukes to make sure it wasn't just a pretty face--the burl camphor looks good enough to make me suspicious, ya know? We tried to use our ears and not our eyes. We decided that it was either the best or second-best sounding tenor uke in the shop--there was one that was brighter, more expensive, and less beautiful. This one was warmest with surprising depth in the deeper notes. That's how I like a uke to sound.

Hangs next to my vintage instruments with pride, and more importantly, it's been played for hours and hours since coming home.
