Satin Mahogany

The Satin Mahogany line is Kala’s flagship collection and has become an industry standard. The traditional design is highlighted with a satin finish, some with cream binding and some with no binding—also available with a spruce top. Built and designed to stand the test of time. Gloss Mahogany

The Gloss Mahogany line features a high-gloss finish to enhance the simple elegance of the Mahogany woodgrain.  The gloss adds a smoothness and sturdiness to the uke and a cream binding ties it all together.  Available in soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone models—concert also available with electronics, tenor also available with 6 or 8 strings with optional electronics.

The traditional look of the Exotic Mahogany line is complemented by the unique grain patterns.  The woodgrains range in variety from a wavy curl to a straight sharpness and everything between.  Available in soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone models in natural wood or transparent blue finish—natural wood concert and tenor also available with electronics.

The light brown body of the Pacific Walnut line is contrasted by the rich, dark brown patterns in the grain.  The remarkable look created by this contrast gives these ukulele a striking boldness.  Available in soprano, concert, and tenor models—tenor also available with electronics.

The Bocote line exhibits beautiful figuring of sweeps and swirls, creating an impressive look.  Bocote is a dark wood from Mexico with an even darker striping that makes this wood unmistakable.  Available in concert and tenor models.

The vintage look of the Archtop line is embellished by the jazzy F-holes, producing a classic looking ukulele.  With a smooth, gloss black, gloss white, or Satin Tobacco Burst finish, the Archtop continues to be a favorite among players.  Available in a tenor model with built-in pickups.

Banjo Ukulele

The Banjo ukulele is patterned after banjolele from the 1920s and 1930s—the height of the instruments popularity.  The Banjo ukulele has a Remo Weatherking head with a loud and resounding projection.  Available in a concert model.

The Resonator line is fitted with a lightweight aluminum resonator directly into the Mahogany body.  The resonator gets a brass cover and the body gets elegant F-holes to give this model its distinct appearance.  Available in a tenor model.

The Gloss Koa line is built from Hawaiian Koa, the most traditional of ukulele wood.  The elegant curling of the Koa makes this ornate wood sought after by builders and players alike.  Available in soprano, concert, and tenor models—concert and tenor also available with a cutaway.

Solid Cedar

The Solid Cedar Top line features Acacia back and sides with a Padauk rosette and binding.  Cedar has gained in popularity due to its soft, lush tone.  The Solid Cedar Top lends well to finger style playing.  Available in concert, tenor, and baritone models—tenor also available with 5 strings or a cutaway with electronics, baritone also available with 8 strings.
