U-Bass Artist John Driskell Hopkins

Born in San Antonio, TX, and raised in Gainesville, GA, John Driskell Hopkins is best known for his work playing bass in the Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band. Prior to joining, he formed the southern rock band Brighter Shade, with whom he still plays with today. He has also collaborated with bluegrass bands Dappled Grays and the award-winning Balsam Range. He graduated from Florida State with a degree in General Theater, and co-starred with Nick Jonas and Dermot Mulroney in Careful What You Wish For in 2015. John will be back out on the road with the Zac Brown Band following the release of their new album, Welcome Home, in May 2017.
