Love It!
Great ukulele I tuned it down to baritone and the long next makes it easy. Plays really well with a little lighter tone that my other baritone ukes.
Going against the grain is literally what gives Flame Maple its beautiful perpendicular, undulating, almost iridescent stripes. Our Big Leaf Maple Tenor XL has contrasting Koa binding, rosette, headplate, and heel cap in a satin finish. These muted, natural colors let the wood speak for itself…until you play it…then this ukulele will surprise you with the most commanding, clear, bright sound with even harmonics.
Our Tenor XL models come with a longer neck and have a longer body and a wider lower bout than our traditional Tenor ukulele. The longer neck has a 19” scale length and better fits the wider lower bout and longer body of the Tenor XL. The Tenor XL has a deeper and warmer sound and resonance due to its increased lower bout size.

I bought the BL maple and koa version about 1 1/2 years ago from Portland Music in Portland, OR. I have it tuned as DGBE baritone and the sound is full, deep, and beautiful with great sustain. I love it more and more as time goes on. The only things I would add to this uke would be edge binding on the back to prevent dings and not have the strings through the body as replacing strings is more difficult and string tails can touch sound board if not positioned away from it. A work of art with great sound, it is my very favorite uke!
Iam loving the maple leaf tenor
Each day the sound opens up beautifully
Just hoping i can get replacement strings
