The California Solid Body U•Bass is a unique innovation in the world of bass. Carefully designed, crafted, and set up by our top of the line luthiers at our Petaluma headquarters, each California Solid Body U•Bass is treated with an expert hand and a watchful eye before it leaves our facilities. The UBASS-5MYRTLE-FS model is fitted with a straight grain maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and a beautiful myrtle wood top. With its rich grain patterns of dark greys and golden browns, myrtle is an excellent choice of tonewood both from a sonic and an aesthetic standpoint. Tonally it shares similar traits with maple, both woods promote clarity and excellent projection and sustain; however, myrtle tends to have a warmer more rounded sound that adds ideal projection in the lower mids. As a result of these thoughtful design choices, the UBASS-5MYRTLE-FS has a huge deep tone with excellent balance and clarity.
