I have several Ukulele basses or U-bass. One is Kala the other is Ohana. The strings are different in both. I like the Kala strings because they play very well and are more affordable. I love the fretless model. I have tried the fretted one but for me the frets interfere with good tone. Both basses can be a little temperamental in keeping in tune. Sometimes you can get a better tone without the frets. I also like the Kala electronics. I have played the Kala bass for several years now and it is a pleasure.
