Aquila Red Uke strings
These sound better than any of many types of strings I have tried. They produce firm rich sound across the normal uke range. They are wonderful!!
Aquila’s Red® strings produce a deeper tone by changing the weight of the material rather than increasing its gauge. By keeping the gauge thinner and more consistent, Red® strings sound brighter and more powerful, and are more responsive across the entire fretboard. This also helps them stay in tune longer than thicker strings. The textured brown/red Red® strings have a very rich tone with a very loud projection.

Love these strings. Great sound from laminate Ukes. Thin & tactile feel I just like better than another strings. They can be prone to breakage & care must be taken with stretching them. Really like over wound low-G strings. Have them on a KA-T and makes it one of my families favorite ukes.
Yes it’s true. The sound was dull until I heard a sharp “snap” and held the pieces in my hands. Oh well.
Bought this string to change my tenor over to a low G. It was quick and easy to install and really opens up the sound of my solid spruce top tenor.
I like both super nylgut and red nylgut strings for my uke. Am going to try themon a banjo and guitar too, but have not done that yet.
