    Great Even When There's Problems

My girlfriend purchased me a BLEM Nomad for Christmas, and everything was good except for some fret buzz close to the neck, which I discovered was not uncommon for shipped instruments after some Googling. Kala went through the RMA process very quickly, and the product they sent back is of high quality, with no issues or defects, a really nice timbre, and consistent loudness between strings. I feel bad I didn't write this positive review earlier.

Fun to play and everything you need.

I love this little bass. I'm very pleased they had a blem one for even less money. Seriously very trivial flaws (if you can even call them flaws). This entry model has a gig bag, built in tuner, nice sounding pickup and just a nice smooth comfortable finish. This is the second U-Bass I've owned but I think I like this one best. Kala has maintained and exceeded quality standards each year. Couldn't be any happier. I'm pretty sure my next stop will be one of their solid bodies. I have no doubt I'll be equally satisfied. Keep up the good work.

    Can't Stop Grinning!

Thanks for such a great instrument, and especially at a "blem" price. It looks good, feels good, sounds even better. Having said that, here are the BAD points:

    - The "blem" aspect is super-minor, in MY opinion! Considering that Taylor Guitars has stopped coloring or dying its ebony fretboards, letting any natural striping shine thru, the "discolored" edge on this bass seems to be in darn good compamy. I'm sortta like, ya know, thrilled?

    - Tone =without= an amp is no better than anyone has a right to expect; you'll hear it at least 4 feet away! With an amp, -YIKES- it's great!

    Not really blemished!

The only things I could find “wrong” was the silkscreen logo on the rear plate being crooked and a very small scratch on the headstock. I’ve seen worse in music stores! This was by as awesome deal for a great u-bass. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would encourage anyone thinking about buying a “blemished” instrument to go ahead and do so!
