    what a bass

Lovely crafted instrument , superb sound , a diverse menu of sonic settings , a joy to play , giving articulate and precise note articulation, very inspiring to improvise with. A powerhouse of a bass, brings a smile to my face and those hearing it also. I use it at church and I truly believe that I am giving to God the best that I can to the service of God's people with this beautiful instrument. I have a slew of basses long scale, medium scale , traditional short scale, and the 28" scale also. I have the Kala 5 string solid body and a fretless 4 string solid body bass they are great basses also but this bass is truly amazing. I'm glad I took the plunge, it is beyond my expectations, comfortable, light, beautiful, wonderful construction, a real asset to own. Again I consider myself blessed and thankful to have this bass in my possession. Great job Kala .

    The 5th string

My thumb is still adjusting to the 5th string. The low B 5th string is a bit tricky to tune with an electric tuner but it works. Overall this solid body is great even though it is much heavier than my acoustic U-Bass! The gig back is very sturdy and well padded.
