The All Solid Cedar Top with Solid Pau Ferro back and sides has a gorgeous asymmetrical rosette of Maple and Pau Ferro that helps give these ukuleles a very distinct look. The solid Cedar top provides this ukulele with a warm, sweet tone with excellent, loud projection. The solid Pau Ferro back and sides are a perfect audio and visual compliment to the solid Cedar top as they provide bright, clear tonal elements to this instrument’s sound. Amazing Solid Wood Instrument

I’m continually amazed at the instruments that Kala has been producing. I own several of the Hawaiian big K brands and yet I pick up my Kalas more often when I just want to enjoy playing.

The Cedar Top / Pau Ferro tenor is a classic combination of woods that produce a wonderful clear rich sound. This tenor has a resonant depth and yet maintains bright clear mid-range and high notes that make for a very beautiful sound that rivals ukuleles costing two or three times as much.

Fit and finish are excellent and it’s lovely to look at and hold.

All Solid Cedar Tenor Kala Ukulele.

My Kala Solid Cedar Ukulele so far so good it's a good looking Ukulele. At first it sounds lousy like out of tune. But, after a while of strumming the sounds is excellent. Highly recommended Ukulele made in the U.S.A. not China.

Wow! What a great sounding ukulele!

This is my 2nd Kala ukulele. My other one is the Mahagoni Long-neck Soprano. I wanted a completely different and more 'guitar-like' sounding ukulele so I decided to go with this tenor, cedar top, with a low-G.

    1) cedar is a common wood for guitars and gives the ukulele a warmer sound

    2) the tenor size will also give it a deeper sound

    3) low-G, also deeper sound

This ukulele is EXACTLY what I imagined it would sound like and I love it! Thank you Kala.

    Amazing sounding ukulele

I jumped to this ukulele from a laminate ukulele and this one is vastly superior. The sound is so delicate and dynamic, very responsive to your playing style. I didn’t like the D’addario Nylon strings strung with it so I replaced with fluorocarbon + wound low G string. The sound is just beyond this world. This uke can hold up against instruments 3-4x its price. 100% a buy
