    8-String Protection

After an extensive search for a case (hard or soft) for my two Bruce Wei 8-string ukuleles, Kala came through with the extra length needed to handle the larger turner head. The overall length of the ukulele is 28.5 inches and would not fit ANY other manufactures tenor case. Kudos to Ash for helping with my search. She provided me with DETAILED interior and exterior dimensions which I was unable to get from some of the other retailers. She also made suggestions for other cases that would suit my need and I went with a Sonoma Coast soft-sided case for the second ukulele. Don't let the word 'soft-sided' fool you. That thing is built like a tank! For any 8-stringers out there needing a hard case, ANY of the archtop or Sonoma cases will accommodate your babies.

Kala - My new best friend

My "Tweed Archtop Ukulele Hardcase" is a wondrous thing of beauty that accents my Kala Bamboo Tenor Uke beautifully. I've no doubt that it will protect my cherished instrument. I now have two Kala Ukes and one case and am very happy with all Kala products and accessories. I have spoken with the Kala professionals and am thoroughly impressed with their knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism. They have demonstrated customer service that goes above and beyond. Especially "Ole". Thanks again for listening to me and taking care of my needs. Go Kala! God bless you all. T

    Wonderful!

It was so nice to see a great fitting case for my crafted tenor ukulele. I got a case for my first build and it was okay but tight. Having made this myself I didn’t really appreciate the downward pressure on the bridge area. So, I searched and searched, finally deciding to order this Kala tweed case. I was REALLY nervous the specs would be off. But to my utter and grateful surprise it was a PERFECT fit. Kind of like the Goldilocks version, not too small, not too big but, just right…. Ahhhhh!

I put the uke in and was surprised the upper lid did not raise a bit. I picked up the case and gently moved it around as if it were being handled rough ( but much softer). No rattling banging or moving up and back sounds. Perfect! The first one had no room for a strap, without removing it every time I used it. This one has just the right amount of room . Goldilocks again!

If you are not sure, give them the specs of your uke ( or guitar) . They will give you their best advice to be sure.

Kala, this was very much appreciated. I would buy this again. In fact on my next build I may try a baritone. I check in again!
