Way more fun than I expected

I had an acoustic gig on the beach last Saturday. They were expecting me to bring my upright, but I didn't feel comfortable with the upright bass on the beach all day. I picked up the journeyman on a whim and instantly fell in love. I bought it Friday and played the gig the next day. It sounded incredible through the P.A. I can't put this bass down. I even brought it to work just to noodle around during breaks. Well done Kala! Well done.

Amazing little bass

I absolutely love this bass. It is super small and comfortable to carry around. I never liked the feeling of a large bass but always loved the sound, and this bass fixed that 'issue' perfectly. Huge sound for such a small body. The built-in tuner is very solid. The strings are very comfortable and feel similar to other bass strings. The acoustics while not plugged in are very good. If you want a small bass with big sound, this bass is perfect for you.

Love it!!

This is a great addition to my other instruments! I was wanting to learn something new, and this is just the right size. It came with the round wound strings, and I love the sound of them! I bought Aquila thundergut strings as well, but I haven’t put them on yet. This U•BASS sounds beautiful and is definitely worth the money!!

Fun little bass

This is a really fun instrument to play. When I take it to jam sessions there are always audience members contused by the size of the U-Bass. They wonder where the bass sound is coming from!

My go to

Wow, I was blown away when I first learned of the U Bass existing and by watching videos, but owning one is the single best purchase I’ve made relating to my bass playing. The sound is just immense, and nobody can believe its tone even when I’m playing it right in front of them.

The portability goes without saying, but one aspect of that is how much I practice on the U Bass versus plugging into my rig in my basement. I’ve played this thing on campsites, on my patio, and on every couch and chair I have in my house.

They say you need an instrument to inspire you to play more, and if that’s what you’re in need of this will NOT disappoint. Simply the best bass I own, and that’s saying something!
