There's a reason these strings sell out very often! They're absolutely wonderful. Flatwounds are just a great feel and sound. These are soo much better than the rubbery Pahoehoe strings on the acoustic UBass.

The only thing I would change about this string set is my basic wish that it was an overall heavier set of gauges. I also have a fretless 4-string that I have flat-wounds on. and this 5-string set sort of seems to split the difference between deciding to make that 5th string a higher register string on top or a lower on on the bottom. I would rather prefer the later, truth be told. In standard tuning, trying to make that lowest string go all the way down to a low B makes it a little floppy.

I use La Bella’s Deep Talking Bass and these feel just like a mini-version of my long scale, with the same tone and sound. Truly awesome.
