By keeping the gauge thinner and more consistent, Red® strings sound brighter and more powerful, and are more responsive across the entire fretboard. Yes it’s true. The sound was dull until I heard a sharp “snap” and held the pieces in my hands. Oh well.

I like both super nylgut and red nylgut strings for my uke. Am going to try themon a banjo and guitar too, but have not done that yet.
