This U-BASS looks great and sounds great. The round wound strings are something new to me but they are easy to play. The only unexpected issue was that it was so heavy compared to the acoustic/electric U-BASS I started with. The Kala U-BASS strap is an essential accessory.

Great sound in a compact form. 75 and started with a uke as my first foray into music during the pandemic so got used to the smaller form factor of a stringed instrument. I dad wanted to play a bass but the regular bass guitars are way too big for me. When I mentioned this to my teacher (a Kala artist) he suggested this one feeling that this was the best U Bass Kala had produced.
When my son in law, a professional guitarist and composer, learnws of this, he bought me a Big Muff pedal for added fun which works quite well with the U Bass.

I am so pleased with my new purchase. This is my third Ubass and it is certainly the best one for me. The sound is impressive. My great musician friends are all impressed and pleased with the sound. It plays easily and has good intonation up the neck. It's a little challenging to get it in perfect tune, but no one notices and it doesn't sound out of tune in an ensemble.
