Torrefied Spruce Top Ebony Tenor XL Ukulele
Our Super Tenor models have a longer neck, longer body, and wider lower bout compared to a traditional tenor ukulele. The 19” scale is especially comfortable for converted guitarists.
Designed and handmade in the Kala Workshop in Petaluma, California, this Kala Elite USA Super Tenor ukulele looks as good as it sounds. With a Torrefied Spruce top and West African Ebony back and sides, this instrument was built to be loud, clear, and beautiful. The torrefaction treatment of the spruce improves the tone by speeding up the aging process which improves its resonance — also giving the spruce a warmer and darker, cedar-like appearance. The ebony is dark with strikingly unique patterns — from striped grain to persimmon-colored highlights. Other features include: Ebony fretboard, Padauk binding , and Brown Fluorocarbon Ukulele Strings (by Worth Strings — that are now standard on all Kala Elite USA Ukulele).
