Love this Kala Transit bag. Got it at my local uke shop in Richmond when I picked up my custom electric. I decided on this over a hard case as I felt it gave great protection. It feels like it has a rigid plastic band on the outside of the thick padding for the full perimeter of the side. Excellent, excellent protection! I feel very comfortable that my precious custom electric is safe when I travel.
Note the side-by-side difference between this Transit and the Kala Sonoma bag is the single sling-style strap on this transit vs backpack double-straps on the Sonoma.

This will be the ultimate protection for my tenor ukulele as the original bag that came with the ukulele provided no protection.
Your advertisement illustrated a Kala medallion but what arrived was a stitched insignia. Not an issue but wasn’t the expectation.
