I loved the bamboo UBass! It looks beautiful and sounds amazing! Really like the fact that it is so portable and I can take it along with me on my travels.
I started a few years ago learning the bass, but the fretboard was too long for me so I switched to six strings. My son has a bass and I was intrigued with it and liked the sound so I bought the bamboo version. It has the sound of a full size bass in a compact size. Unplugged it isn't all that loud, but good enough for messing around on the couch. Amplified the sound is nice, but I have to get a fret hole cover to eliminate the feedback.
