Stranger Things have happened...
Happy Friday the 13th and welcome to the new Kala blog - Me and Uke.
October has plenty to get excited about—Halloween, haunted houses, the return of Stranger Things. We are pretty excited about all of that but we’re most excited to share our new blog with you!
Our goal for the blog is to provide a community where everyone can discuss all things Kala, Ukulele, and U•Bass. We are still developing what the blog will look like and the content we will feature, so let us know what you’d like to see and hear more about. We look forward to learning and growing with you as we share the fun, happiness, and inclusivity of the Ukulele, U•Bass, and Kala.
We want your help building this community into something special that everyone can enjoy, so please let us know what you like or don’t like, what works or doesn’t work, or anything we can do to make it better. All of your comments and suggestions will help us make this the ultimate online destination for all things Kala. Your ideas and opinions matter to us!
The blog will be a bit freewheeling at first as we get the ball rolling but we are working out a schedule so you will know when to expect columns and features.
To celebrate our blog going live we are giving away 3 ukulele. Up for grabs we have:
Kala Solid Spruce Travel Concert (KA-SSTU-C)
Kala Striped Ebony Tenor w/ EQ (KA-EBY-TE)
Kala Satin Mahogany Soprano (KA-15S)
To be entered in the giveaway you’ll need to:
- Subscribe to our blog email updates at the very bottom of this page.
- Register for an account with DISQUS at the bottom of the article.
- Comment on this post letting us know what you’d like to see on the blog in the future.
The giveaway will be open for a week (until 10/20/17) and then we’ll randomly select the winners and contact them for their shipping addresses.
We have some exciting things planned and look forward to building and sharing this community with all of you, so check back often.

In the last few days, things have changed drastically around Kala and our community with the wildfires. Kala is located in the heart of Sonoma County and many of our employees live in Santa Rosa, where some of the worst of the fire damage has occurred. We will be sure to update you in the coming days.
