Kala & the U•Bass® at Bass Player LIVE! 2017
This weekend, November 4th and 5th, Kala will be in Los Angeles as a sponsor and exhibitor at Bass Player LIVE! 2017! This two day event is once again being hosted at SIR Studios in Hollywood and features clinics, artist signings, giveaways, and performances, including the return of the All-Star Jam.
You can come say “hi” to Kala at Booth #8 and check out our current lineup of U•Basses. Kala will also be represented by U•Bass Artists at clinics and performances throughout the weekend.
2014 Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Abraham Laboriel, Sr. and Grammy Award winner and Paul Simon's bassist Bakithi Kumalo will be giving a clinic co-sponsored by Kala and NS Design at 1:30 pm on Sunday, November 5th, in Studio 1.
Nashville session musician Dave Pomeroy will be making his Bass Player LIVE! clinic debut at 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 4th, in Studio 2.
Hutch Hutchinson, bassist for Bonnie Raitt, will also be making his Bass Player LIVE! clinic debut at 3:15 pm on Sunday, November 5th, in Studio 2.
Other U•Bass Artists slated to attend include: Juan Alderete, Oskar Cartaya, Tal Wilkenfeld, and Lee Sklar.
In addition, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and session legend and James Taylor’s bassist Jimmy Johnson will be receiving Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Awards.
