Solid Bamboo Wow
I bought this Uke from Amazon. So I should probably be spanked. Anyway, I love this Ukulele. The Response and sound are crisp and clear. I would recommend low G number 4 string.
Bamboo is the most eco-friendly wood choice for a ukulele. Highly renewable, Bamboo regenerates quickly without being replanted. The many-layered, straight grain of the wood gives this collection a natural, earthy look. Bamboo provides a bright tone with great volume, harmonics, projection and sustain. The strength of bamboo makes for an extremely durable and resilient ukulele. Available in soprano, concert, and tenor models.

I couldn’t find a bamboo to play but I could listen to a couple of reviews. I also called my friend Jason at Lahaina Music and ask his thoughts. So I bought the bamboo. It looks great has a good sound. I prefer a low G so I changed out the strings to the Aquila red series low G, and it sounds great. I now have 4 Kala Uku s and they are all awesome.
Very good uke. My first Kala
I came at this one from a 50 dollar starter uke and love it. The playability is so much better than my previous ukulele. I've seen reviewers online suggest that this instrument isn't deep/rich enough and while I can see the point I would counter IT'S A UKULELE kinda known for bright with a lot of attack, buy a u-bass if you are seeking deep and rich.
Great Uke. You can’t go wrong with Kala brand. I’ve owned over 15 Kala’s over the years and they are always good straight out of the box. I love the slot head on this. I’m somewhat a slot head fan. This uke is very good.
