The Spalted Maple U•BASS® has spalting in the wood that resembles fine point pen scribbles forming wavy black lines and streaks that contrast beautifully with the lighter colored, two-tone Maple. Black binding adds a nice compliment and ties into the spalting. This U•BASS® has great dynamic range, clarity, tight lows, and ample sustain. Available in a fretted model.

I have a tough time figuring out what is blemished! I *might* know? But no matter, this instrument plays very well! It has great intonation up and down. I really like the tuners too. And... it looks beautiful. solid build. I'm so happy I purchased it.

If you aren't getting blemished instruments as your main vehicle for buying new gear, you're doing it worng. My U-Bass plays like a dream, has no visible scratches or anything I can see, looks super cool, and was $100 cheaper than new!

I received my spalted maple U•Bass today and I couldn’t be happier. Once I got used to the feel of the strings I could barely put this thing down! The spalted maple is beautiful and the quality of sound that comes out of this bass is great!
