Solid Body 4-String Tobacco Burst Fretless U•BASS®

Very pleased with my new steel-string fretless U-Bass. Fit and finish are great, and the factory setup on mine is excellent. That said, the sound is even better - pretty much what you might expect from a fretless P-bass. The bass is a bit heavier than you might expect for such a small instrument, but that may partly be why it has such great sustain. Fretted or fretless, Kala's new Solid Body U-Basses look like an excellent value.

It looks very cool. I was very impressed with the playability and sound quality. The real test was to use it in a live situation, and it definitely impressed my band-mates!

It sounds great and looks great. I would definitely recommend this product.

I love these small basses!I bought my first UBass about 11 years ago and now I own 2 acoustic UBass with rubber strings and the mini Jazz like steel string UBass.

All are frettless which make them sound more like a standup bass. I also own a Goldtone with a longer string length of 27”and a Thomann acoustic mini bass. My Kala’s are my favorite! Easy to transport. I use the Roland battery operated small bass amp to power their sound while at jams.
