I bought this Super Tenor awhile ago and shared a previous positive review. Last week, and just for fun, I strung it up w/ D'Addario Titanium Baritone strings. Tuned it DGBE w/o any problems. The new sound absolutely blew me away! Now this super Tenor absolutely BOOMS with rich vibes! The Baritone strings have completely changed the character of this awesome uke for the better! You gotta try this!:)

The Kala Tenor XL all solid mahogany is my new favorite ukulele! It is beautiful in its details. It suits my preferences very well: the resonance of mahogany, satin finish, beautiful fretboard, beautiful binding, impressively pretty headstock. Pictures don't do the binding justice; they don't reveal the grain. And yet, I'm happiest about something else! The 18.875" scale length fits very happily under my left hand. I have been playing baritones mainly, but this scale is better for my hand size, and I have strung this instrument D G B E, using Worth Clear strings. I'm going to need a second copy, to tune F Bb D G, because the scale gets a little tight at the 3rd fret. Please don't stop production of this wonderful instrument!
