Lovely Sound, Beautiful Look
Looked around my local ukulele store in Richmond, VA as I was curious to try out the tenor size. I played around with several tenors but just kept coming back to this one and ended up leaving with it. For me, this price tag ($400+ after tax) was a big deal, but I just loved the sound so much that I was willing to commit to the purchase. I have had it now for ~6 months and I just love the sound of this uke.
While with the purchase of this ukulele I now own one each of soprano, concert and tenor sizes, this has become my go-to. While the size is more comfortable for me at the fret board, the sound of the solid acacia really makes this stand out for me: a really warm sound that I just love. And 6 months after purchase I am so glad I did spend the extra in my budget for this one. We all have different budgets and this is certainly the high end of my range for what I am willing to pay. The sound that I get out of this really makes me feel that I got a lot of bang for the buck with this model.
I am a huge fan of the dark wood and this acacia is stunning. The fret markers are also a beautiful feature as the rings have what you could call a wave or a vine theme that provides a nicer detail that makes them 'pop' more than a standard dot fret marker. I added the brown tapa-themed ukulele strap that, to me, just complements this wood so much.
Bottom line: I absolutely love to play this ukulele! If you're like me and the appearance of this uke draws your attention to it,…
