    A beautiful instrument

I purchased this in July and have been playing for about three weeks now. This is my first ukulele and I chose the Kala KA-B after extensive research. Everything pointed to this instrument as the best baritone ukulele at this price point and for a newbie. Admittedly, I have nothing to compare it to, but I can say that it sounds great, warm and rich, it's well made, and holds its tuning very well. And it looks beautiful. I highly recommend.

    Mahogany Satin Baritone

I bought the Makala Baritone to test the Baritone waters at an affordable price. Loved it so much that I moved up the ladder to this Satin Mahogany Baritone! So glad I did. It is amazing. The sound is so rich and full. And it projects with such wonderful power. I have attached photos to show the beautiful wood grain, the great wood color tone, the nice enclosed tuners and the strap button I had installed. So happy with it!

    New favorite instrument

I received this baritone as a birthday present after asking for a baritone ukulele for over a year. It was 100% my most wanted gift, and the one I knew I was least likely to get. I’m soooo grateful to my parents that they bought me this instrument. I play it almost everyday and I’ve loved every single second of it. My only complaint is that my d string broke less than two months after getting it… but that was probably due to me playing it every chance I get. It has a rich, balanced tone and responds very nicely to a soft touch, while still ringing clear while strumming. The action on mine is perfect, and while I don’t know if that was because of the music store my parents got it from or just how it came, it’s still very nice. Overall this is 100% a ukulele that I would recommend.

    excellent baritone, with decent tone.

Although this instrument is more toward the basic level, it is well made. The tone is mellow, the upper strings sound out without being "bright". Keep in mind, different strings will change the sound tremendously. The frets are very accurate, and in tune. Do not just rely on a tuner to get the most perfect tuning - tune the strings to fourths, fifths, and to each other. The finish is very good, the tuners work well, and there is even a truss rod for the neck. There is no kerfing, but the internal bracing is scalloped. An excellent baritone ukulele, easy to play, and I love the tone.
