The PWT is a beautiful instrument, and it is very responsive to fretboard touch. This ukulele is approximately 3 inches in body depth, as opposed to my koa tenor with 2.5 inches of depth. I believe this, and quality build, including materials, combines to create a deeper mellow
Sound with bright tones. The volume is very good, and it really sounds great with playing approach, including finger style. Excellent value.

I recently had the privilege to visit Bora-Bora in French Polynesia and on one of our excursions, the guide has this little gem on his boat. I had been playing on a soprano that I picked up for a trip in 2019 and spent more money on it but after playing this one, I immediately ordered one when I got home. The warmth, sustain and ease are all incredible. I'm now a fan and saving money for another Kala!
