Pink Burst Soprano Dolphin Ukulele

Some years ago my daughter, then around nine years old, wanted a ukulele. I didn't play ukulele or know much about them, but I had been playing guitar for many years and know that it is very difficult to learn to play on a bad instrument. Cheap beginner guitars are one way to stop a guitar player from ever happening. So I went to a local music store ( Portman's in Savannah, GA) and began to explore. This little uke is what I walked away with. I was blown away by the sound, the intonation, everything about it as an instrument-- and it was cute, which appealed to my daughter. And the price was right. Not only has she had years of enjoyment from it, but this was also my own gateway ukulele. I now own eight, including five Kalas--a the pink Dolphin, the black Makala Shark, bamboo tenor, a solid-spruce top long-neck soprano, and solid wood cedar top pau ferro tenor. This little pink uke has really hung in there and is still played and loved in our house. This is a perfect instrument for beginners, but it holds its own as a soprano even after you've moved on to more expensive instruments.
