Pulling inspiration from the original California Series U•BASS®, this innovative short-scale bass is a whole new take on the U•BASS®. Kala’s Solid Body U•BASS® features a sleek off-set body shape which is contoured for balance and comfort. The 22 pocketed frets and 23.5" scale give you plenty of room to maneuver around yet it is still compact enough to easily travel with. The tone is thick and meaty thanks to the classic passive split-coil pickup. This left-handed model comes with a Logo Gig Bag.

Great little bass with two small changes needed.

Very comfortable neck and body. Credible solid body bass sound. Nut is just about perfect height. Pocketed frets are really nice. One tuner is very hard to turn but when I change strings, I figure out what the issue is. Just two negatives. For seated playing, the jack couldn't be in a worse place, even with a right angle cable. The tone control is pretty much a two position switch and does not allow gradual adjustment of the tone.

The gigbag is the most heavy duty and protective I have ever seen. No need t buy a hardshell case.

    Fretted U-Bass

Neck feels good; Also sounds good despite the size.
