Our Gloss Solid Mahogany series delivers a classic Kala look and sound with a glossy finish that will make a stand-out first impression on any instrument wall. Maple binding, open gear chrome tuning machines, and a slotted headstock all contribute to a distinguished final product. Great Sounding uke!

I’ve only had this uke for a few weeks, and I love it. I play guitar so I wasn’t sure about taking on another instrument. My fears have melted away, and I’m enjoying learning the chord voicings. The wonderfully warm tone of this uke drew me to it. Being a beginner, I tried a number of different ukes, and this one sounded better than some more expensive brands. My wife comments on how great it sounds, and how beautiful it is every time I practice with it on our back deck.

I’m beginner, so can’t really talk like an pro, but according to what I’ve researched, I’m surely happy with the purchase! Uff! The finish and gloss of this uku is eye popping! I made a good choice!

Great sound, has held up over the years

I love the full sound on this tenor. This is my third ukulele from Kala and is my favorite by far. I will say that if you perform regularly, you should get the acoustic/electric version if it's within your budget. I have gotten by with using an external mic for performances but would be easier to have a plug-in.

No signs of wear after 4 years if you take care of it! One of my favorite instruments in my collection.

    Nice upgrade for me.

This solid mahogany tenor is a nice step up from my concert mahogany laminate. For some reason the sound of this ukulele reminds me of dark chocolate. I really love the sound, and I love playing it everyday. I like the size, and appreciate the bigger spacing on the fret board in comparison to my concert ukulele. Good instrument, nice warm sound. I give it so much attention that my concert ukulele is obviously getting jealous.
