All Solid Salt & Pepper Doghair Mahogany Concert Ukulele

This is a beautiful instrument, well set up and ready to play. The tone is balanced right up the fretboard and is beautifully voiced for both chords/arpeggios and single string melody playing. Action is comfortable and easy: FUN to play! Volume is about what I expected, not shrieky loud, but very well balanced across all of the strings and up and down the fretboard. I particularly like the sound of the G string; sounds lovely and clearly through chording and when running through scales/solos balances nicely with notes on the other strings, in a way that I would normally only expect on a much more expensive instrument.

The doghair finish and binding and inlays make this an attractive instrument, classy not gaudy. Tuners are decent, and the instrument stays in tune well once the strings have initially stretched out. Nicely weighted and well-built throughout as far as I can tell. I have several Concert ukes and love them all for different reasons--but this one is special.

Great sounding uke made of all mahogany with classic look. I have the tenor and wanted something a little smaller. Width at nut is still 1.4375, very similar to the tenor. I feel the Aquila strings fit this instrument perfectly for the mahogany body and still make it super easy to strum.

First of all, It was packed really well. It looks fantastic in online pictures, and even better in person. In the sun the white streaks look like you’re in Star Wars and going in to hyper space. Simply amazing. It sounds awesome too. Still stetching the strings but so far so good.
