The Solid Acacia line bears curling that is similar to its close relative Koa. The Acacia’s resemblance to its cousin is apparent in its beautiful, varied grain pattern. The all solid wood allows the sound to improve as it is broken in.

My second Kala baritone ukulele. This is an excellent instruments that I think should meet the needs of any player. Nicely scalloped bracing, kerffing, herringbone purfling and rosette, truss rod, etc. Solid Acacia wood, has beautiful grain. The tone is mellow, and resonate on lower strings, and the upper Nylgut softer and "gentle" is how I would describe. Frets are incredibly in tune and accurate once the instrument is properly tuned. Tuners work smoothly. Overall, I recommend this instrument, and Kala customer support. I have found no "cons" in the time I have been playing this ukulele.
