The Solid Cedar Top with Acacia back and sides in a shiny, gloss finish, trimmed out in Rosewood binding is a sleek combination. We added an Abalone rosette, Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and chrome inline tuners.
Cedar has a soft, lush tone that lends well to finger style playing. It has a natural, loud projection and is often recommended as the best ukulele for playing on stage. Available in Long Neck Soprano, Concert, Tenor, Tenor Cutaway with EQ, 6 String Tenor, 8 String Tenor, Baritone, and 8 String Baritone.

This has been sitting at one of my local music stores for over a year now, and I recently decided to rescue it and give it a forever home, and I absolutely love it. It's a shame there's not a bunch of information available for it on Kala's website, nor is there a lot of love regarding 8-string baritone ukuleles in the music world.
Strings? Seems like only Aquila makes a complete set of 8-string baritone strings; any other string manufacture seems to be a combination of 4-string baritone and 4-string tenor string sets.
It probably doesn't help that I'm left-handed and have been playing this uke upside down since I bought it. But it still sounds great and resonates very well. It's definitely a welcomed addition to my stringed instrument collection.
I would most certainly buy this ukulele again.

Such a gorgeous sound! The timbre allows it to float over vocals in a way that a guitar really can’t.
Plus, it’s beautiful! The sound and workmanship would lead you to think it cost four or five times as much as it did.

Love this uke. It has tremendous sustain ability and is able to hold its own in any ukulele group play. it is high gloss...gorgeous..the downside is you've got 8 strings to keep in tune but once in tune it stays fairly true. I would recommend it to anyone.
