...and I think that that's enough of a good review as anything.
The ukulele sounds great, is really easy to play, and looks amazing. I've gotten compliments on it. Also, it feels good in my hands.
Also I was confused by this so I hope this clears something up for someone: the rosette (the ring around the hole) is mother-of-pearl (not my preference, but some people like this) and the binding (the line around the whole body) is NOT mother of pearl (thank goodness, because I didn't want that much color on it). It's not white, more like a cream, or bone-white.
One thing to make sure you note, though, is that this uke does not have pegs for a strap. If you plan on adding one you'll have to drill holes yourself or have a professional do it. I'm planning on paying a pro because I don't trust my own hands and the instrument is worth way too much to risk it (imo). Also, the costumer service is amazing!! Thank you!!
P.S. This was a BLEM uke and I just wanted to point out in one of my photos that what I think is the blemish on my is the minuscule dent on the back of the head, literally no one will ever know. Definitely worth the money off!!

It's supposed to be a blemished model, but i see no imperfections. It's a beautiful instrument and sounds great. It was a great price for solid mahogany.

I received a perfect concert ukulele that plays great and if the minor finish imperfection on the back of the headstock is the “blem”, well no one would ever see it. I’ve had a Kala all mahogany soprano that I gave my daughter 15 years ago and it still plays and sounds great. I’m sure my me Kala Salt & Pepper concert will serve me just as well. I’m ecstatic about this instrument!

I bought this for an adult family member who is learning to play. He is very happy with it as he was using a very inexpensive ukulele previously. I was given help from a Kala employee in choosing a good instrument to get started with.
