I love the archtop look, but I’m afraid this isn’t a long-term keeper. I teach a uke class, so the tenor size (for chord visibility) and pickup system (for amplification) are perfect, the f-hole design is eye-catching. But after a few years of string tension, the bridge area, which is between the f-holes, starts to droop, leading to fret buzzing unless you replace the saddle with a higher (and then higher) one. Maybe it’s a problem the bracing design — I don’t know — but with this uke you’ve probably got a repair waiting to happen.

My fourth KALA UKE. Love them all. Awesome uke with very nice quality build. Shines with amp. Prefer my other KALA UKE acoustically.

My husband surprised me with an anniversary/Christmas present, took me to the music store to pick out a nice ukulele. In my head I wanted a Fender Stratocaster Fullerton ukulele but the minute I compared the sound of the two ukuleles my decision to get the Archtop was Unwavering. Amazing sound, love the look too! You get what you pay for with this instrument.
