Ziricote is known for it lovely deep low end and sparkling high clarity. This gives Ziricote ukuleles a full rich sound while ensuring the instrument cuts through in musical ensembles. This makes our Ziricote perfect in band, studio, stage, or solo performance settings! However, Ziricote is likely most famous for its magnificent grain patterns of black lines and brown swirls that players all around the world are falling in love with. Ziricote has a deep brown color with irregular darker brown rings intermixed, creating patterns almost similar to a spiderweb. We've brought even more value to this beautiful ukulele with newly added maple binding and a beveled edge in rosewood for extra comfort. Finally, we top it all off with a gloss finish to allow the wood grains to shine.

This is a beautiful instrument. Quite the eye catcher. Haven't had it long but I am really enjoying playing it. I am on the fence regarding the Aquila Super Nylgut strings but that's not a big deal as they can be replaced. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I was looking for a well built solid ukulele that was a little better quality than some of my other Ukes. When I saw the great pre-Christmas sale I decided to try this Kala Concert Uke. The Ziricote wood is absolutely beautiful. The sound that resonates from this instrument is clear and carries volume. The fretboard is easy to the fingers and the instrument holds pitch. I am very happy with this addition to my growing Kala selection of instruments.
