Anuhea bassist and band leader Jason Tupuola-aino has been hooked on music since the young age of 4. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has found himself on a variety of gigs, including drumming for a party boat band, playing ukulele or bass for local luaus and playing the main stage with Anuhea.
"My first inspiration was Ritchie Valens after I saw the movie La Bamba. I wanted to be just like him when I was four. Now, I find influence in reggae and Hawaiian music."
Jason has supported Anuhea for the last 6 years, touring throughout Hawaii and the mainland. In addition, you can find him regularly playing Luau gigs on the Big Island.
Jason currently plays the Solid Mahogany U-Bass, the Travel Tenor and the CA Series 5 String Koa Solid Body.
