Formed in 1985, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is an ensemble of ukuleles in different registers with a bass accompaniment. The Ukulele Orchestra arranges cover songs from a wide variety of musical genres for the ukulele. They have performed at historic venues all over the world, including New York City’s Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House. They have performed at Glastonbury Festival and made many television appearances. They have released numerous albums and DVDs since forming, with songs featured in films, plays, and television. They have collaborated with Madness and The Kaiser Chiefs, and performed with Wheatus. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain continue to tour the world.
