We’ve taken our Classic Satin Solid Mahogany and given it a modern update with an even more affordable price. The warm reddish brown of the Solid Mahogany body is framed in clean black binding and black & white purfling. Coupled with a stylish white-black-white rosette pattern—there is no doubt that this is a refined musical instrument.
This ukulele also comes outfitted with a Rosewood fretboard and bridge, D’Addario Titanium Strings, and a smooth closed pore satin finish. Take note, this instrument is for players who understand the sonic characteristics this uke has to offer, and are ready to grow along side it as the solid wood improves even further with time. To quote Acoustic Guitar Forum, “Mahogany starts out good and just gets better as it ages.” Mahogany is a classic traditionally warm sounding wood that many ukulele enthusiasts prefer.

I've been looking for a solid wood uke, but didn't want to spend alot for my first one. While browsing the Kala site, I stumbled on their Blem deals. This all solid satin mahogany concert was $110 off and I'm so happy I purchased it. The only blem was a small area of slightly milky satin stain on the side that faces down when playing. This uke is easy to play and sounds beautiful. I signed up with my email and received a 10% of coupon, so I added a gig bag, capo and tuner to my order. Thanks Kala for the start of my uke adventure.

Honestly, I couldn't find the blem on this one, so getting $80 off is fantastic. The instrument itself is excellent. The set-up was great right out of the box, no need to take it to the luthier. Plays almost effortlessly. This is my first all-solid wood uke, so the resonance and sustain it has is very pleasing. I withhold one star only because it is a little neck-divey, so I want to use a strap with it, but there is no strap button on the end block. It's a mod I can get done easily, so perhaps only 1/2 star off. All in all, I am most satisfied.
