We’ve taken our Classic Satin Solid Mahogany and given it a modern update with an even more affordable price. The warm reddish brown of the Solid Mahogany body is framed in clean black binding and black & white purfling. Coupled with a stylish white-black-white rosette pattern—there is no doubt that this is a refined musical instrument.
This ukulele also comes outfitted with a Rosewood fretboard and bridge, D’Addario Titanium Strings, and a smooth closed pore satin finish. Take note, this instrument is for players who understand the sonic characteristics this uke has to offer, and are ready to grow along side it as the solid wood improves even further with time. To quote Acoustic Guitar Forum, “Mahogany starts out good and just gets better as it ages.” Mahogany is a classic traditionally warm sounding wood that many ukulele enthusiasts prefer.

I was looking for a solid uke and love the mellow sound of mahagony. The stellar reviews on this tenor uke are on point. And the money saved with it being a BLEM is a win-win. I had to search to find the blemish...a small mark on the fretboard near the sound hole. Overall the look and sound are beautiful. I couldn't be happier!! Not only is the price and quality of the uke excellent, but the ease of online ordering and Kala customer is exceptional! I highly recommend!

This is my first uke. Out of the box, I was impressed by the satin finish and beautiful tones of mahogany. I purchased this as a Blem but cannot find even the smallest defect.

Wow, great sound, beautiful instrument. Arrived in reasonable amount of time as it was shipped from Kala’s Virginia warehouse. Has a tiny stain on inside label and small area on back where stain uneven. Beautiful finish, amazing sound! Perfect fretboard and solid wood for such a reasonable price. Fitted perfectly into my tenor ABS hard case by Kala. Kala ukes never disappoint! Hoping go find a blem solid wood mahogany baritone next! Just a wow ukulele! Beautifully made.

I purchased this instrument at a steep discount because it was supposedly blemished. Honestly, had to search for the BLEM when I received it, because it was so small and unnoticeable. It’s a great instrument and plays beautifully!
