Excellent product and service

The volume and tone delivered from this thin body is nothing short of magical.

The neck plays like a high quality electric guitar. (I did have to lower the action a bit, totally acceptable)

One minor thing is the pickup is perhaps a bit too sensitive. It picks up some finger noise on the top but I’m adjusting my technique accordingly, not a big deal. Love this instrument!

It is excellent!

This ukulele was my 65th birthday present from my wife. My experience with Kala was very easy and professional, in spite of the problems with COVID-19. Ash, my contact in the sales cycle, was especially helpful when I had to delay the shipment by a week (again, COVID-19 problems), but it all worked out incredibly well. The travel tenor sounds great (better than my talents, for certain), and I am looking forward to many trips in my future with this instrument.

Great travel instruments

I like the light weight but big sound. I play in a ukulele orchestra and it holds its own even without the B-band amplification. It is easy to carry when we move around. My grandkids are learning to play on it. Nice size for younger kids just starting. Great for both strumming and for picking. I suffer from ukulele acquisition syndrome and this is an all-star.

I also have the travel baritone, which is not currently being offered. If it comes back, do not miss it. I have many baritones, some very expensive and handmade, but the Kala travel baritone is outstanding for its price and performance.
